A crowd favorite is the Mutton Bustin’, where contestants cling to the back of a woolly sheep for as long as they can. The winner will be decided by a judge’s score and will receive a custom A Cut Above buckle!
Mutton Bustin’ will take place all three nights of the rodeo and be limited to 10 riders per night. A buckle will be awarded each night.
Age for Mutton Bustin' is 4 – 8 years old and weighing less than 60 pounds. Age and weight as of day of rodeo.
Mutton Busters MUST wear a helmet, long pants, and closed toe shoes or boots. You can bring your own helmet or one will be provided for you.
Contestants are taken on a first come first serve pre-registration basis and can enter for one night only. Entries will be open August 10 thru August 24, 2025 or until full. Fees are $20 and are non-refundable. ALL entries are PRE-ENTER, PRE-PAY ONLY! No entries or money will be taken at the rodeo. A parent or legal guardian must sign a Release of Liability at time of entry. Mutton Busters will meet under the flag pole before their event.
